Tell us in summary a little about your journey as a mid wife and advocate for home birthing?

Having had 4 births in a hospital I vowed one day I would help women to have natural empowering births in their own environment & to welcome the baby gently into love & warmth. With my beloved partner Tansen we established Birth & Beyond in Nimbin in the 70’s to provide home births & a support system for families & the community. Since then we travelled the world speaking at conferences, giving seminars & delivering thousands of babies.

What has been your most treasured memory as a midwife?

Each birth is magical, the wonder of completion, the baby conceived, grown in & born from the woman’s body & returned to her loving arms in a loving

What challenges have you faced as a midwife in the home birth movement?

A special joy for me had been the gift of being midwife to several of my grandchildren & great grandchildren. With the recent births of 3 great great grandchildren we are now 5 generations.

How would you describe your style and what you like to wear these days?

My style is natural, flowing & relaxed. I love kaftans & shirts made from beautiful textiles which is why I love Natasha’s designs so much. Beautiful fabrics stylishly cut. They make me feel glamorous.

What keeps you inspired and supports your passions and creativity?

Although I am in my 87th year I feel gratitude and joy for my life. I live in the moment experiencing whatever changes life offers, feeling & receiving so much love.

What is it about Natasha Garments and Tiger Frame jewellery that resonates with you?

I feel so empowered when I wear tiger frame jewellery. Each piece, each stone, each collection has a mystical energy which radiates love, light and beauty. Natasha garments are elegant and timeless and add a tough of beauty and instant unique touch to my existing wardrobe

Natasha xo
